Using official statistics

Read the measure, period, population, method, limitations and revision status before drawing conclusions.

A statistic should be interpreted with its unit, population or geography, period, method and limitations. Small or platform-derived datasets can support useful evidence but should not be described as real-world demographic or economic statistics they do not measure.

United Hampshire statistics should describe actual participation, public administration, service activity, membership, resources or other measurable civic phenomena. The digital operating environment changes collection methods; it does not justify fabricated numbers.
